The difficulty encountered was that the virus initially disabled AV software before taking over the hard drive. Steps have been taken to prevent this unwarranted and illegal practice occuring in the future, however a voluntary organisation like ours is not equipped monetarily to deal with attacks of this nature dispite expensive AV protection! Please, Please only forward files to people in your email groups that YOU know are safe!  _________________________________________________________________  10th September 2010                       Workshop It is proposed to run a series of  'workshops' in the Swansea Valley commencing with an inaugral meeting on the 15th September 2010 at 1.30 pm to discuss our intentions. The workshops will be held in cooperation with Ystradgynlais Volunteer Centre at the Old Remploy Factory, Wind Street, Glanrhyd, Ystradgynlais, SA9 1AF, and initially will be aimed at promoting stickmaking to newcomers and the medium will be solely wood. However as a result of the interest that has been created and the enquiries received the workshop will, hopefully, be able to cater for intermediate and experienced stickmakers in the other stickmaking mediums. This is a new venture and we are feeling our way in order to appeal to the widest possible group. There will  be no requirement, initially, to become a member of the South Wales Stickmakers due to the advanced point in the current membership year, however this will be reconsidered later by the committee.     ______________________________________________________________ 2nd May 2010                                   Horn Bulking Blocks Requests are constantly received at this website for information. If time allows I am happy to assist where I can. Recently a number of requests have been received for information as to where to obtain horn bulking blocks. For those manufacturing their own rams horn bending jigs, bulking blocks in engineering grade aluminium can be obtained from Joe Musialowski at Wren Country Sticks. Members are asked to note that the dates of the Welsh Game Fair as published in the 2010 leaflet are incorrect.
