Meetings are currently held four times a year and for 2011 the venues are as per the list on the page entitled 'meetings'.   The Troedyrhiw venue for 19th February 2011 is at The Willows Centre off Bridge Street this location is just 150 yards from the Troedyrhiw Station on the Cardiff - Merthyr Tydfil line. There is a rail service every 30 minutes. By car the following directions apply:-  ‘All’ routes into Merthyr Tydfil, i.e., A470 from North and South, A465 from East and West, exit on approach roundabouts onto the A4060. Travel 400 metres East from the A470 and 3 miles West from Dowlais Top (A465) to the roundabout at Pentrebach. Take the A4054 south from the roundabout, passed Pentrebach to the next roundabout. Stay on the A4054 and in the centre of the village you will come to traffic lights at a pelican crossing. Turn right immediatly ater the traffic lights into Bridge street. Travel under the railway bridge and take the next right (100 yards) into the Willows Centre. Wheelchair access is provided. There are numerous facilities within a short distance of the venue, i.e., Co-op Supermarket, PC World, Halfords, Premier Inn with Restaurant facilities and nearby local shops, Cafe, Fish & Chips, etc,. It is planned to provide light snacks by way of buffet mid morning with all proceeds to charitable groups. Our 11th June meeting is to be held this year at Ystradgynlais Volunteer Centre (Old Remploy factory), Wind Road, Glanrhyd, Ystradgynlais. This location is easily reached from the A4067 road running through the Swansea Valley where at its junction (roundabout) with the A4068 Bynamman Road take the road into Ystradgynais passed the ALL BLACK ARMS and across the miniroundabout. At the T junction turn left and the Old Remploy Factory is within 150 yards on the right. The 30th April and 17th September meetings will be held at Aberdare in the Dare Valley Country Park. Detail's of the venue are below which is easily found by following the brown and white caravan/camping signs on the approach roads to Aberdare:-                    DARE VALLEY COUNTRY PARK Our Show venue is conveniently situated immediately south of the Brecon Beacons National Park, it is within one hour's drive of the cities of Cardiff and Swansea, the English border at the Severn Bridge or Monmouth, and the remarkably clean and sandy beaches of the Gower coastline. The complex provides the following facilitities; Well equipped seminar rooms suitable for business meetings, interviews and training courses and 200 hectares of accessible countryside which is ideal for team building exercises.                             A fifteen bedroom hotel with accommodation for families and business organisations. There are two family rooms each with a double bed, cot and bunk beds and thirteen twin rooms each capable of being bunked for larger parties and educational groups. All rooms are comfortable and modern, have en suite facilities as well as offering tea/coffee making and colour televisions. Two rooms, situated on the ground floor are specially adapted for disabled guests.   A touring caravan and camping site offering twenty five hard standings and ten level grass pitches for tents. All pitches have optional electric hook up and the site has low level illumination, a brand new service block with laundry and facilities for disabled visitors. It is advisable to book your pitch in advance during the holiday season. Another field is available for large organised camps and Duke of Edinburgh award groups.Please contact the manager for details.   The Park area is used by groups of all ages who come to explore the 500 acres of countryside, discover its unique heritage and enjoy the wide variety of habitats and attractions.   Admission and car parking are FREE and the park is open throughout the year. The Visitor Centre complex is open each day from 9am to 7pm between April and September but closes earlier in the autumn and winter.
