Meetings are currently held at the Hills Plymouth Cricket Club, Pentrebach, Merthyr Tydfil, CF48 4BJ.
For those familar with the area, this location is a short distance from the former Hoover Factory. There is a rail service every 30 minutes to Pentrebach Railway Station on the Cardiff - Merthyr Tydfil line. By car the following directions apply:-
‘All’ routes into Merthyr Tydfil, i.e., A470 from North and South, A465 from East and West, exit on approach roundabouts onto the A4060. Travel 400 metres East from A470 and 3 miles West from Dowlais Top (A465) to Pentrebach.
The cricket club is on the main road through the village. Wheelchair access has been provided. There are numerous facilities within a short distance of the venue, i.e., Co-op Supermarket, PC World, Halfords, Premier Inn with Restaurant facilities and nearby Cafe, Fish & Chips, etc,. It is planned to provide light snacks by way of buffet mid morning with all proceeds to charitable groups.
The annual show in September will continue to be held at Aberdare in the country park. Full detail's below;

DARE VALLEY COUNTRY PARK
Our Show venue is conveniently situated immediately south of the Brecon Beacons National Park, it is within one hour's drive of the cities of Cardiff and Swansea, the English border at the Severn Bridge or Monmouth, and the remarkably clean and sandy beaches of the Gower coastline.
The complex provides the following facilitities;
Well equipped seminar rooms suitable for business meetings, interviews and training courses and 200 hectares of accessible countryside which is ideal for team building exercises.
A fifteen bedroom hotel with accommodation for families and business organisations. There are two family rooms each with a double bed, cot and bunk beds and thirteen twin rooms each capable of being bunked for larger parties and educational groups. All rooms are comfortable and modern, have en suite facilities as well as offering tea/coffee making and colour televisions. Two rooms, situated on the ground floor are specially adapted for disabled guests.
A touring caravan and camping site offering twenty five hard standings and ten level grass pitches for tents. All pitches have optional electric hook up and the site has low level illumination, a brand new service block with laundry and facilities for disabled visitors. It is advisable to book your pitch in advance during the holiday season. Another field is available for large organised camps and Duke of Edinburgh award groups.Please contact the manager for details.
The Park area is used by groups of all ages who come to explore the 500 acres of countryside, discover its unique heritage and enjoy the wide variety of habitats and attractions.
Admission and car parking are FREE
and the park is open throughout the year. The Visitor Centre complex is open each day from 9am to 7pm between April and September but closes earlier in the autumn and winter.
